With 50x to 600x magnification, this microscope set is a great educational resource, ideal for learning at home.   2. I can remember having a microscope as a kid (well it was my big brothers) and we used to look at everything. Made learning such fun.

  3. Awesome prize! My nephew would love this. He says he wants to be a scientist when he grows up. This is wonderful for nurturing those types of ambitions.

  5. My little grand=daughter is always collecting bugs to look at under my magnifying glass,I really just wish she would look at them outside !.Bless her she’s only four and fascinated by all manner of insects so she would love this x

  6. My 8yr old son would definitely love this, im not sure about my house though lol. Hes always fetching something in for a better look be it spiders, woodlice, worms i even caught him with a centipede other day, watching how it moved on the carpet…. safe to say it moved like a centipede that didnt belong in my house 😀 Would probably use it on his untameable rock collecting too he loves seeing thing up close and has to know the in out whys wheres etc x

  11. It looks interesting. Some microscopes designed for children just don’t hold up to the hype or handling kids put them through. This looks quite tough and your write up seems to confirm that. I’d like it for my daughter who is very keen on microbiology and the human brain. Thank you.

  14. I remember my brother having one of these with lots of slides of fly wings and the like. Very gross but very engrossing and we were never at a loss to find new things to try under it.
