Ooh, now this one is easy; I have written about places I would like to visit already, in the About Us section. Check it out to find out my answer!

#Blogtober 2016 – Day 6: Favourite Present Ever

I struggled with this theme at first (again, why am I finding this challenge so hard?!) but then I realised I was actually just thinking about it the wrong way and that’s why I was drawing a blank!

I’m not really into getting gifts, weird I know! Don’t get me wrong, I have had some lovely gifts over the years, and I really appreciate them. My dad is very generous. My daughter chooses me wonderfully unique presents! I remember a lovely bracelet from my mum too, for my 16th or 18th (I forget which!) A funny home-made photo book from a close friend for my 21st birthday. These thoughtful things come to mind when I try to think back to what people have bought me.

But the first thing that really came to mind when I read the theme was finding out I was pregnant shortly after my 28th birthday. Or my 30th birthday, when I stayed home with my lovely little girl, playing all day, then went for a lovely family meal.

Or my birthday just gone, when I spent the day in glorious sunshine by the sea in Weymouth on holiday. No presents, one homemade card- from my little girl of course. Everything was stripped back; such a simple day. But it was one of those rare days when everything was just absolutely perfect all day long; when the universe works so completely in your favour and everything is just a dream. Relaxed. Happy. And so very blessed. What more could I ask for than that? So, that is my answer- that was my best present ever!

Haven: Littlesea (Our trip to Weymouth, Dorset)

We had a brilliant short break at Littlesea Haven Holiday Park in Weymouth. We stayed in a lovely privately owned caravan in a well-situated spot and really enjoyed the facilities that this site had to offer. We have stayed on several Haven sites now but this one was a firm favourite! Nice pool, good layout, great entertainment, understanding staff, excellent location (with a car) and all-round enjoyable stay.

Whilst we were at Weymouth, we also visited Sealife Adventure Park. We have been here several times before and absolutely love it! Well worth a visit, wonderful day out.

We also went to the beach…

Last but not least, we popped to the beach and the funfair at Bowleaze Cove…

All in all, a fantastic short trip! Loved it!

Haven: Allhallows, Kent

We spent a couple of days at Allhallows in Kent. Our favourite things about this site were the direct access to the beach, helpful staff, lovely play area and nice pool. I do think the layout could be improved- for a child with sensory processing difficulties it was very overstimulating to have to keep walking right through the arcade and restaurant to get to the outside play area and it was a shame that the soft play is not sectioned off abit too rather than in the centre of the noisy arcade. The entertainment venue felt abit cramped, it needs to be abit bigger or designed better to give a more spacious feel. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Haven: Wild Duck Holiday Park, Norfolk

Last week we went on a short break to Wild Duck Haven Holiday Park near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. We have been to a couple of other Haven sites before but this particular one was new to us. I was very pleasantly surprised by it, I found the entire park rather more ‘toned down’ than some of the others I have previously been to and the natural woodland surroundings were beautiful. It was a peaceful environment to be in, whilst still having various facilities on the doorstep (along with the ducks, rabbits and squirrels all around us!) We very much enjoyed our stay and I would happily return to this site. See the website for further details http://www.haven.com/parks/norfolk/wild-duck/
