We went on a lovely walk to explore a local woodland that we have never been to before. It is a great time of year to visit because the bluebells are in bloom, so much of the area is covered in a gorgeous sea of blue. There are lots of beautiful spots to see them around Hertfordshire, and no doubt the rest of England too. The National Trust has produced a list of places to see bluebells near you.
Here are my photos of our walk around Bricket Wood…
The Woodland Trust are holding their Big Bluebell Watch so don’t forget to add your sightings to their map!
Remember to link up your outdoor, nature, wildlife and green living posts over at my #LivingLifeWildlinky.
How was your March? We are really enjoying watching Spring blossom and flowers develop, and have started to spot ladybirds, bees and butterflies around too. We have been on lovely countryside walks, wandered through parklands, hunted for minibeasts in the garden, had fun on a Spring scavenger hunt and climbed trees, amongst other things!
Here are some of our photos from our March adventures…
The #LivingLifeWild IG hastag is still going strong, so nip over and check out all the gorgeous photos there as well!
Thank you for reading about our adventures, and hopefully sharing with us your own ones too. Please feel free to drop your links to any relevant posts below, and take a moment to show the other linkies some love too. 💚 Looking forward to reading your posts!
On Sunday we went to Southend-On-Sea for a day out at the seaside. We love the fresh sea air, sand under our feet and paddling in the water – at any time of year! Here are my photos…
I have also added a couple of new albums to my photo gallery. I have added my Winter Collection (I thought I would finally share my photos of this season before it is over!) and Signs of Spring Collection too, as we have been out on nature walks over the past couple of weeks observing the changing seasons and spotting the earliest glimpses of Spring popping up.
Thank you to Mammas School for sharing their snow walk blog post and beautiful photos of Sweden on Instagram and to Eps and Amy for sharing a lovely spot to go for a walk in West Sussex.
Check out our hashtag #LivingLifeWild on Instagram, there are lots of fantastic photos! Here are just a couple of my faves…
This week our potatoes from the GYOP project arrived, so we are looking forward to growing these very soon. We also signed up for the RHS School Gardening Campaign too; Squiggle was actually talking really recently about how she wants to grow some of her own herbs, so it was the perfect timing for us to then come across this campaign!
I have decided that going forward I will run this linky monthly. It will open the first day of each month and remain open until the last day of the month. You can therefore link up anytime throughout the month, and you are also welcome to link up as many relevant posts as you wish (old or new). This linky will run until the end of this month now so please do join in and let other people know about it too!
All I ask is that everyone takes some time to look at other posts that have linked up and comment on some too. I would also appreciate it if you link back to my post in yours. Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who linked up last week. There have been some lovely outdoor adenture posts, such as Squished Blueberries sharing their experience of watching the sun rise on the beach. Mummahub did a wonderful job of reminding us how great getting outdoors is for our stress levels and restoring peace, and over on instagram Mammas School has some fantastic unique ideas so do pop over and check her out for inspiration!
I have chosen two instagram pictures to share this week…
I loved reading everyone’s posts from last week, and seeing your pictures too. Thank you all so much for taking part! Even when it’s cold and you feel reluctant to venture outdoors, it can turn out to be lots of fun, can’t it Eps and Amy?! lol! (Check out the blog post to see what I mean!)
I have chosen the following instagram photo to share by Mammas School but it was a tough choice! I particularly loved this photo because I never would have thought to do pond dipping at this time of year, but it’s a great idea!

All of the photos are fab though, I really loved seeing all of your adventures and look forward to seeing more this week! Don’t forget to use the hastag #livinglifewild and also tag me too so I don’t miss it!
This week we are preparing to do some citizen science for the Big Garden Birdwatch with RSPB. We have got our pack and made sure our garden is inviting and bird friendly! The Big Garden Birdwatch takes place this weekend from 28th-30th January. If you want to take part you can apply for your pack and download it here.
Share your posts (old or new) via the linky below. If you need further information about #livinglifewildhashtag and linky please check out the introduction, or contact me if you have any questions. Lastly, apologies again about the badge (teething issues!) – I am trying to work out how to resolve it, but have removed it temporarily until it is sorted. Please feel free to text link to my blog instead if possible, thanks.
Welcome! I am SO excited to introduce you all to #LivingLifeWild – the new hashtag and weekly linky for any posts and photos related to nature, wildlife, green living, environment and outdoor adventures…
Each Thursday I will post up a new linky for you to share your latest blog posts related to the theme. The linky will remain open until the following week, when the new one begins. If you do share a link, please comment on the linked up post directly before your own, the host post (ie mine) and at least one other. I will always try to comment on all of the links shared too. Also remember to grab a badge and share it on your blog post too! (Edit 22/01 teething issues with my badge! Please tag me in your post instead until I get the badge running, apologies and thank you!)
This does not mean you have to be a blogger to get involved! Anyone can join in; please tag me in your own latest nature, wildlife, green living, natural environment or outdoor adventure photos/ posts on instagram, twitter or facebook and use the hastag #LivingLifeWild to be part of our community. I will share as many on social media as possible, plus I will also choose one or two to share in the following week blog post too 💚
I hope this explains things well enough but if you do have any questions then please feel free to get in touch via the comment section below.
So to kick it all off, I am going to keep it very simple for this week and just share my most recent instagram photo from this past week:
